Chevron Amethyst Palm Stone
A gorgeous grade-A chevron amethyst palm stone. Due to it being highly polished, this stone is incredibly tactile.
Chevron amethyst gets its name from its distinctive V-shaped or zigzag-like markings.
The patterns of white quartz represent different periods of growth and crystallisation.
This chevron amethyst palm stone has a very small indentation at one end. When rocks and minerals are cut and polished, stone cutters try to minimise the amount of material that's lost. For this reason, minor anomalies such as this are often not polished out.
Some of the finest chevron amethyst comes from the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. Stone from this location is sought after for its rich purple colour and distinctive patterns.
