Large Kambaba Jasper Cabochons
Three beautifully polished, AAA-grade Kambaba Jasper cabochons. This natural stone can only be found in Madagascar.
The backs of these stones have been smoothed but are unpolished.
Kambaba Jasper is also known as Crocodile Jasper, Green Stromatolite Jasper, and Star Galaxy Jasper.
Star Galaxy Jasper is a trade name created by stone cutters in Jaipur, India, where most of the world's coloured gemstones are cut and polished.
All four of these trade names are misleading because Kambaba Jasper is not a jasper. Therefore, a more appropriate name would be Kambaba Stone.
These Kambaba Jasper cabochons are numbered 1 to 3, left to right.
