Deep Red Garnet Sterling Silver Ring
An unusually large red garnet ring.
Garnets are one of the world's most ancient gemstones.
Red garnet was once included in the group of stones known as carbuncle. This name described all blood-red coloured, translucent gemstones cut as a cabochon. However, the name was used particularly for garnet.
Garnets tend to be quite small, so a stone of this size and grade is quite rare. It does have a couple of very minor flaws, but they can only be seen with strong magnification.
This garnet ring has been crafted by hand in fine sterling silver.
It's available in two sizes. One is very slightly larger than a UK size L and the other is slightly smaller than a Q.
