Rose Quartz Crystals Grade B
This pink variety of quartz is widely used for decorative purposes. When used as a gemstone rose quartz is rarely faceted because when cut it has a slightly cloudy appearance.
The varying shades of pink in rose quartz have long been considered to be caused by impurities of iron, manganese and titanium. A study in recent years cast doubt on whether these chemical elements were really the cause of the colour.
It's now believed microscopic inclusions of a mineral related to dumortierite are responsible for the pink colour in rose quartz.
