Canadian Jade, correctly known as Nephrite Jade has a slightly different chemical composition to Jadeite, although both are commonly known as Jade.
Nephrite jade is slightly cheaper because it's more common.
This finely polished stone has a silky texture and vitreous lustre, so reflects light in a similar way to glass.
