Malachite Grade A Polished Stones
These malachite stones were cut and polished from material mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Malachite is not an easy mineral for stone cutters to work with because it's soft, so damages easily, and being an ore of copper, its dust is toxic.
This popular mineral is known for its deep-green colour and distinctive swirling patterns or concentric bands.
Being soft, malachite must be handled carefully. It should also be kept away from moisture.
Each malachite stone in our collection has been individually chosen.
These polished malachite stones are numbered 1 to 3 in our last photo.
All three are grade-A stones. Number 1, which is the chunkiest, has more of a weathered appearance than pieces 2 and 3. Additional photos of malachite stones 1 and 3 are in our other malachite listing, which you can find using product code XXKJ.
