Pyrite Oblong-Shaped Crystals
Brassy-yellow pyrite crystals from our collection of rocks and minerals.
Pyrite, also known as fool's gold, is an iron sulphide mineral, which means it's a chemical compound of iron and sulphur.
The name 'pyrite comes from the Greek word ‘pyr’ meaning ‘fire’. When struck with steel or a hard stone, pyrite produces a hot spark. Since antiquity, pyrite has been used to light fires.
When used for its healing properties, the yellow face of pyrite links it to the sun. It's also considered to be an excellent shield for blocking negative energy.
Our pyrite crystals are a medium-sized tumbled stone but size can vary from piece to piece. We only have a small number of stones in this shape left available and are unlikely to get more.
We also have cube-shaped pyrite crystals in our collection.
