Sugilite Tumbled Stones Grade B
Finely polished sugilite tumbled stones from South Africa.
Sugilite is a rare mineral found primarily in the Kalahari Manganese Field, Earth's largest land-based manganese deposit. The area is located in the Northern Cape Province.
Being so rare, sugilite is difficult to source and can be expensive.
In the past, we have always had grade A sugilite tumbled stones in our collection, but these are grade B. The difference in quality between the two grades is quite significant.
Not only is fine-grade sugilite in short supply, but the retail price of a tumbled stone would be around £25 for one relatively small stone.
The size of these sugilite tumbled stones is classed as large but can vary from piece to piece. Therefore, we've split them into large and extra large.
Although it can't be fully appreciated from our photos, they're highly polished.
