Colourful Mookaite Unpolished Stones
Rough mookaite stones, cleaned but otherwise untouched. Nine unique pieces with exceptional colour.
Mookaite is a type of Jasper from one location in Western Australia.
The colours in mookaite are influenced by varying concentrations and types of iron oxides within the stone.
Although usually pronounced 'mookite', the correct pronunciation should be 'mooka~ite' because it's named after Mooka Creek, the place where it's found.
These rough mookaite stones have the smoothest texture and a dull lustre, which means they absorb light instead of reflecting it.
These nine pieces are being sold as one lot. Total weight: 377 grams.
