Unpolished Mookaite, An Australian Jasper
Incredibly colourful, rough mookaite stone. Three unique pieces of this popular Australian Jasper.
Mookaite, mostly used for lapidary purposes, is known for its striking colours, which come from varying concentrations and types of iron oxides.
Named after Mooka Creek in Western Australia where it's found, the name should be pronounced 'mooka~ite'.
These three rough mookaite stones have the smoothest texture and a dull lustre, which means they absorb light instead of reflecting it.
These three pieces are being sold together. Total weight: 107 grams.
