An amethyst gemstone once used as a seal was recently found in Israel. It features an engraving of a bird and a branch with five fruits. Found in bedrock beneath the Western Wall in Jerusalem, it's believed to be approximately 2,000 years old.
The cabochon in this amethyst pendant is quite bulbous but it's an exceptional gemstone.
