Chunky Lemurian Quartz Crystal
Lemurian, which is a type of quartz found in limited locations in South America, was discovered in the early 1990s.
The crystals often (but not always) exhibit distinctive horizontal striations on one or more faces. These tend to be used as an identifying characteristic but are not always present or noticeable.
Lemurian quartz is said to be connected to the mythical kingdom of Lemuria. The people of Lemuria are said to have predicted this cataclysmic event, so stored their knowledge and traditions on these record-keeper crystals.
In crystal healing, Lemurian Quartz is believed to be exceptionally powerful with the ability to store a wealth of knowledge and information from the past.

These two chunky Lemurian Quartz crystals are rough/unpolished. Number 1, which is on top in our photos, is no longer available. Number 2 is transparent towards the tip of the crystal, but inclusions then cause it to become translucent. The distinctive mineral inclusions make it a particularly interesting piece.
