This amethyst gemstone has a rich purple colour with a subtle red tint.
The long, narrow facets that have been cut into this stone give the appearance of depth. When light hits a gemstone with a concave cut it's scattered outwards from the centre.
Concave cuts are relatively rare because cutting the facets is time-consuming and a significant amount of the gemstone is lost.
The edges of this amethyst are scalloped.
The setting of this amethyst ring measures 0.9 x 1.1 x 0.6 cms.
