Aquamarine Crystals Grade A/B
Aquamarine is a blue variety of the mineral beryl, but not all blue beryl is aquamarine. The characteristic that determines one from the other is grade.
The name aquamarine tends to be used for higher-grade stones with a more distinctive and uniform colour. As the grade improves, stones tend to become more translucent.
Because of their rarity, the finest-grade crystals and minerals are not used for tumbling. While tumbled stones can be classified as AAA grade, which is the highest quality, it's not equivalent to 'gem-grade.' Gem-grade rocks and minerals are used for gemstones.
These blue beryl crystals are a high enough grade to be classed as quamarine. They exhibit distinctive colour but are heavily included, so are mostly opaque.
Price is another important consideration when producing tumbled stones because fine-grade aquamarine isn't cheap. Since tumbled stones appeal to a niche market, a gem-grade stone would not be tumbled.
As tumbled stones go, these aquamarine crystals are beautiful pieces that you'll love having in your collection.
Although classed as medium, size does vary from piece to piece.
We also have blue beryl crystals in smaller sizes.
