Heat treatments are widely used to enhance or change the colour of rocks and minerals. This practice, which has been used for thousands of years, was first documented by Ancient Greek philosopher Theophrastus.
No two of these tigers eye stones are the same, and the few pieces we have left available all have interesting and/or unusual markings.
