Charoite Cabochon Abstract Shape
A lovely piece of charoite, shaped as a cabochon.
This stone exhibits slight translucence, but two sections are highly translucent.
It's a really interesting piece that could be used for jewellery or enjoyed as part of a collection of rocks and minerals.
The section I've circled is colourless and transparent. When held up to the light, this area allows you to see straight through the stone
The base of this charoite cabochon is unpolished.
It has a minute chip on the bottom edge of the base. It can be felt more than seen.
Charoite is a relatively rare stone found only in Russia's Far East.
