Amethyst Sterling Silver Pendant

Deep purple coloured amethyst crafted as a pendant in fine sterling silver.

Amethyst is one of the most popular varieties of quartz.  Its rich purple colour is caused primarily by impurities of iron.

If exposed to sunlight or excessive heat for long periods of time the colour of amethyst will fade.  

Without being illuminated this dark purple stone looks almost black.  As light is introduced its true magnificence becomes apparent.
