Gorgeous Purple Fluorite Crystal
A spectacular fluorite terminated point with mainly purple colouration. To see fluorite as its best it needs to be held up towards the light. Some yellow colour can also be seen in this piece.
In our photos various degrees of lighting have been used to illuminate this crystal.
Whilst it may seem like a good idea to position fluorite close to a sunny window, the colour will fade if exposed to sunlight for any length of time.
Being soft and fragile means fluorite must be handled carefully. Should this crystal fall over it's likely to chip or fracture. Fluorite fractures very easily.
Fluorite is a beautiful mineral to have as part of your collection. Colours and characteristics in each piece are always unique.
The colour of most of the polished fluorite coming in from China has been enhanced. It's often sold as "candy fluorite".
