Two Large Clusters of Kyanite Crystals
These clusters of blue kyanite bladed crystals are from Brazil.
With their naturally vitreous lustre, they reflect light brilliantly, bringing them to life. Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to capture this in our photos as well as we would have liked.
Kyanite forms in high-pressure environments, typically in metamorphic rocks. Its striking deep-blue colour and unique structure make it popular with mineral collectors. The elongated, bladed crystals often develop in radiating or parallel formations, creating visually stunning clusters.
Despite its hardness, kyanite is brittle, so crystal clusters like these are delicate.
Both exhibit excellent colour and will make beautiful display pieces. However, they should be handled as little as possible.
See these kyanite crystals here, in a reel on our Instagram page.
