Sodalite for Healing or Decorative Purposes
Inky-blue sodalite crystals with greyish-white coloured markings. These inclusions may be impurities of calcite, feldspar, or possibly both.
We also have sodalite crystals with an orange inclusion. This stone has recently acquired the trade name Sunset Sodalite but was previously known as orange sodalite.
Grade A blue sodalite, which we also have as part of our collection, is virtually inclusion-free.
Bancroft Ontario, Ice River British Columbia, Litchfield in Maine (USA) and Brazil have the world's largest commercial sodalite deposits. Smaller quantities can also be found in Greenland, Russia, Montana and India.
These medium-sized sodalite crystals have an exceptional polish. They're produced from material mined in Brazil. Size can vary slightly from piece to piece.
