AAA-Grade Orange Sodalite Crystals
Beautifully polished, AAA-grade orange sodalite crystals.
'Sunset sodalite' is a trade name that's now being used instead of 'orange sodalite'.
The distinctive splash of orange colour in these sodalite stones may be from impurities of feldspar, calcite, staining or oxidation.
We also have sodalite crystals included with white calcite and a AAA-grade sodalite tumbled stone, which is virtually inclusion-free.
The main difference between these AAA-grade Sunset Sodalite tumbled stones and the AA-grade is the shade of blue. The AA-grade have a slightly lighter hue.
The difference is subtle and not immediately noticeable unless pointed out. When grading rocks and minerals, colour is a key factor, and even slight variations can influence the grade.
Although these tumbled stones are classed as a medium-size, size varies considerably from piece to piece. Therefore, we have split them into small and medium.
